Introduction
The book is organized into eight chapters. Chapter One, “Introduction: Understanding of Buddhism,” explains Buddhism as more than a fixed category of philosophy, religion, or lifestyle, presenting it as a practical path grounded in Noble Truth, enlightenment, self-reliance, compassion, and civilizational contribution. Chapter Two, “Gospel of Buddhist Education,” discusses the historical background and social importance of Buddhist education, especially in relation to inequality and institutions in India and Thailand. Chapter Three, “Research Methodology,” outlines the research problem, objectives, design, hypotheses, data collection, and structure of the study. Chapter Four, “Buddhist Vision on Education,” presents the monastic and ethical foundations of education, including teaching, learning, and Buddhist educational approaches. Chapter Five, “Buddha’s Teaching,” focuses on core doctrines such as the Four Noble Truths, the five factors of personality, Buddhist scriptures, and the Tipiṭaka. Chapter Six, “Buddhist Education for Society,” examines the evolution of Buddhist educational approaches and the role of institutions and organizations, especially in Thai society. Chapter Seven, “Buddhist Monks and Education,” analyzes the role of monks in the educational system. Chapter Eight, “Conclusions and Suggestions,” gathers the author’s recommendations for applying Buddhist-oriented thinking to social reconstruction, education, peace, and harmony.
